There is no greater joy for a pastor than to see sinners confess faith in Jesus Christ and desire to be baptised and added to the local church.
This was my privilege and delight this past Lord’s Day with 5 new members added to our assembly here in Sacramento.
To hear the testimonies of these five believers was a delight for all of us who were present. It is truly a reminder of the sovereign work of grace that God does in the hearts of unworthy sinners.
What made the whole occasion even more delightful was the fact that all of these were young people between the ages of 17 and 25. What a glorious blessing in a world that is increasingly seeking to influence the young for evil and sin! We rejoice in the power of the gospel and the clarity of these testimonies! The Lord is building His church and we rejoice!
Soli Deo Gloria

The Greater Sacramento Reformation Society exists to encourage mutual fellowship between local pastors and churches who are committed to the historical Christian gospel as understood and defined in the great Reformed Confessions of Faith.
We meet on the 1st Thursday of every month at Immanuel Baptist Church, Sacramento. if you would be interested in attending please drop me an email in order to get more details.
We began with 6 men back in May 2006 and enjoy having some 22 men associated with our gathering. Most of us are pastors but the meeting is open to any interested Christians who desire fellowship around the word of God and encouragement in the service of our great King, the Lord Jesus Christ
Warmest regards
RB

This is a picture of my four wonderful children. How different they all are !!
Lois Joy was born Feb 18 1994 – My first-born, she is a delight to my heart in terms of academic pursuit and a willingness to relate well to her parents. I bless God for the closeness we presently enjoy.
Esther Grace was born Nov 20 1995 – My dynamo, she has real drive and determination with a soft-heart and desire to be around dad. I rejoice in her drive and commitment to whatever she is doing.
Deborah Faith was born Nov 5 1997 – My quietly determined one, usually smiling and happy, quiet but knows what she wants. I enjoy her kind spirit.
Andrew Robert was born May 8 2000 – My wee man, a gift indeed from the Lord. The wee man is a gentle and gracious spirit who is always great fun to be around. I delight having him as my son.
May the Lord help me be an example of the gospel to them and to show them the beauty of Christ that they will not waste their lives but believe in Him.

This is my beautiful wife Elaine. We were married on June 13th 1992 in N.Ireland.
Elaine is kept very busy homeschooling our four children and looking after me !
We enjoy going for walks and having as much time together as possible. Whether it is just out for a Starbucks or up at Lake Tahoe where this picture was taken, Elaine is my best friend and closest confidante. I could not ask for a more devoted, committed and supportive wife. She truly is my ‘rib’ as Luther called his Katie. As the years go by I marvel at the wisdom of God in giving me such a perfectly suited helpmeet.
We continue to desire to live for the glory of God and serve Him in whatever ways He leads us.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog.
It’s name is taken from the words of the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15v58 where he exhorts the Christians at Corinth to be always abounding in the work of the Lord.
As a pastor in Christ’s church and a servant of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ it aptly describes my aspiration of heart before God.
The purpose of my blog is to engage with the modern world through a modern medium. I look forward to having engaging in discussion on topics of various kinds.
I have no idea what the Lord will do with this blog but I hope to develop it as I have time.
Feel free to add comments and interact.
Warmest regards
RB
